Dragonfly

Dragonfly, also known as "Akitsu," is deeply connected to Japan, as it relates to the ancient name of the country, "Akitsushima." In medieval times, the dragonfly was referred to as "Kachimushi" or "Victory Insect" by samurai, symbolizing strength and success in battle. As a result, the dragonfly motif was frequently used in their armor and clothing and extends to our accessories today.

INDEN est.1582 is the rebranded brand of INDEN-YA, with a history spanning over 400 years in Japan. Originally, they created durable and functional designs used by popular samurai as decorative elements for their war armor. Among the various Koshu-Inden craft houses, INDEN-YA is the sole survivor, and its techniques were passed down through oral instruction to successive generations of family heads until recent years.
